Our current plan is to curate some GeoGebra materials and resources for offline use (under CC licences). The resources would be presented by grade, together with some key information. They are meant to inspire teachers to use GeoGebra, for open-ended activities, rather than present ready-made "closed" resources.
We'd like to compile:
- general GeoGebra tutorial materials
and set of resources, comprising:
- GeoGebra application files (.ggb) with
- associate worksheets, and
- notes about the teaching approach.
Ideally the notes on the teaching approach would be "rich" and open ended, but of course this might vary.
Put this up on oer.educ.cam.ac.uk, ideally each set would have a title, description, and image as well.
Ideally, we'd like to have say 10 - 15 sets per term per year, so that teachers have enough inspiration to use GeoGebra roughly once a week. In terms of curriculum coverage, we just want to cover fairly general mathematics concepts, plus of course applications of GeoGebra in science or for cross-curricular projects as available. Basic concept in geometry, algebra, etc etc.
Regions: We're currently working Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and South Africa. Other regions may include Tanzania.
Age ranges: We're looking at primary and secondary, so roughly 5-20 years old.
