The presentations
We will publish the presentations from this day on here!
Practical tasks
In the second half of the sessions, we had a series of practical tasks.
Create your own account
- Click the log in link at the top right of the screen (or click here: Special:UserLogin).
- Click create new account
- Enter the required information.
- Choose your user name (typically "Firstname Lastname")
- Choose a password (nothing valuable, but be sure to remember it!)
- Enter your email correctly (important!)
- Enter your real name
Hit 'create account' and open your email. The wiki will email you a confirmation link, which you should click. You have now signed up with the wiki.
Add some text to your user page
At the top right of the screen, you should now see a list of links, starting with your user name. Clicking your user name gives you an empty form field where you can enter some text.
Enter
- Your name
- Your affiliation
- The internet address of your institution, e.g. http://www.cam.ac.uk
Then press save. You have now created your first wiki entry on the RECOUP wiki!
