Prepare for ISA exams here...

Lesson idea. This is one of two lessons preparing students for their ISA exams but can be used more generally to help students with various aspects of a scientific investigation. This resource presents a number of activities to enable students to learn the definitions of scientific words associated with investigations e.g. precision, uncertainty and validity.

Teaching approach. Students are required to make use of a number scientific definitions as part of their Individual Skills Assessment (ISA) for GCSE. This resource uses the following activities in an attempt to liven up the teaching of these words:

  • anagram activity
  • card match activity
  • Taboo game
  • crossword (edit)
