You can 'sign' pages by using three '~', i.e. ~ ~ ~, which produces your user name (i.e. Bjoern). Or you can use four '~' to produce the user name and date (i.e. Bjoern 10:45, 21 August 2008 (UTC)). This is also useful for 'signing and dating' contributions to talk pages.
