Guidelines regarding carpet cleaning: If you will not take care then carpets at your home will become a collectors of dust, insects and micro organisms. New as well as old carpets need to be maintained and cleaned properly in the best possible way. Let us see some of the guidelines regarding carpet cleaning: • The Foremost step which can be taken in order to keep carpets clean is to remove your shoes after entering the house. It will minimize the accumulation of dirt on the carpets. • The Next step is to vacuum the carpet very carefully, frequently and on regular basis. If doing it daily is not possible then at least it should be done once or twice a week. It should also be shampooed off and on for the purpose of carpet cleaning. • Whenever a spill occurs, clean it with soapy water immediately. After cleaning, make sure that the stained part is dried as well. • In case water or some other liquid drops on the carpet, make sure that you blot it quickly. Do not rub the carpet rather, blot it again and again. You should begin by cleaning the stain as much as possible. It should be done from outside to the inside. It is due to the fact that if you will start from center to the edges, you will cause it to spread more. • Moreover, there is another option to maintain the cleanliness of the carpets and that is to use rent a cleaner machines. These machines are usually available at discount marts and grocery stores for the facilitation of the people. As these machines produce a lot of sound, you must have to use ear plugs whenever you will be using any of these machines. • In order to clean the carpets, you can use household chemicals like club soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide etc. Using these things, spray water afterwards and it can be followed by more blotting. • Chemicals and bleach should never be used on the carpets until and unless you are not sure about the stuff that it will be affected by those chemicals or not. First, you must check it on a part and then if successful then you should apply it on to the other parts of the carpet as well. These above mentioned are some of the points which should be kept in mind while carrying out the process of carpet cleaning.
