This resource is aimed at developing student teachers’ skills in working with discussion(i). Its main focus is on managing and organising discussion-based activities. It provides guidance on:
• Starting a discussion
• Structuring discussions
• Organising group talk(i)
• Role Play/drama(i)
• Ground Rules for Discussion
• Difficult Discussions
It can be presented to the students as a hand-out accompanying class practice of some of the ideas in it or read online on the BEEP website as background reference material.
