Review of group work

Educator note

This is the last session focussing specifically on group work. In it we review the key elements of the previous sessions, and then give time to an extended planning task.

Types of group work

• All doing same, differentiated feedback (“same task groupwork”)
• Groups doing different activities (carousel-style groupwork)
• All do different activities, build towards single picture (“different tasks groupwork”, e.g. Abel to trial with new continent; groups trace their region, build up to whole world)

• Using available resources? (Need to know what is available- books, newspapers, technology etc)
