A DEFT case study: Supporting Primary and Early Year ITE in developing critical reflection on and use of digital technology in their teaching

Lesson idea. The intention of this project was to produce materials which could be used in ITE university/school based training to encourage trainees to review the role of digital technologies, recognise opportunities for their use and reflect critically on their impact and value. These materials include suggestions for activities and questions which could be used alongside other case studies currently being prepared. The particular technologies focussed on by this case study are: Web 2.0 applications and web-based resources for teacher trainees.

Teaching approach. This case study looks at the resources used to support pre-service teachers with digital technologies in the classroom. This cross curricula(i) case study focusses on digital literacy, in particular using E-skills(topic) with Web 2.0 applications and other web-based resources for teacher trainees.
