About. The resource comprises one 5 page DfES document (drawn from a larger document - see related resources). It explores some characteristics of good explanations (including linking to questioning(i)) explaining these thoroughly. It finishes with an activity for teachers to consider an observation (from video or organised) with a specific focus on 'explanation'.
