Exploring real world statistics through the GeoGebra program
Lesson idea. Extensive teacher guidance, and files for the GeoGebra modelling program, to statistically explore Usain Bolt's performance since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Teaching approach. Using real world data to engage pupils in mathematical thinking(ta), language(ta) and reasoning(ta). This resource provides opportunities for group work or whole class exercises, with engaging questioning(ta). (edit)
